Dear Project Partner,

After  30 months of cooperation our project „Baltic Culture and Tourism Route Fortresses" - Baltic Fort Route - closes with very good results.

14 fortresses und 5 universities developed a new quality of transnational cooperation and designed a tourist product, which sustainably promotes constructional, cultural, infrastructural and touristic development of fortresses. By project partner's active participation in BFR an important contribution to the conservation of fortresses as a European cultural heritage and to the European integration could be made.

Baltic Fort Route project is nearing completion. Therefore the Lead Partner and Coordinator organized final conference which was held in Berlin Spandau and Kostrzyn nad Odrą in 17th - 19th  October 2007.

The Final Conference was organized to sum up three years of cooperation between fortresses and scientific institutions from Germany, Lithuania and Poland. Managers of Work Packs presented the results achieved by each work pack. Furthermore it was a great opportunity to share experiences and opinions with representatives of other European fortresses. The invitation to conference was accepted by the following persons:

-                   Mrs Maria Eskevich from Russia,

-                   Mrs Evite Pugacova from Latvia,

-                   Mr Daniel, Mr Tolde and Mr Brejnik from Czech Republik,

-                   Mrs Anne Parikai and Mr Juhani Ahlman from Finland,

-                   Mr. Titus Weijschede from the Netherlands,

-                   Mrs Angelika Taube from Germany.
