Dear Project Partner,

After  30 months of cooperation our project „Baltic Culture and Tourism Route Fortresses" - Baltic Fort Route - closes with very good results.

14 fortresses und 5 universities developed a new quality of transnational cooperation and designed a tourist product, which sustainably promotes constructional, cultural, infrastructural and touristic development of fortresses. By project partner's active participation in BFR an important contribution to the conservation of fortresses as a European cultural heritage and to the European integration could be made.

Fortresses are cultural heritage of a united Europe. By losing their original military significance, many fortifications were gradually removed or opened to the public. To this day many urban development measures and regional influences can partly be deduced from their condition.

Baltic Fort Route (from )

Baltic Fort Route.
